Nice apartment and good layout. But noise isolation between floors need improvements, can hear footsteps throughout the night from the guests staying on the floor above.
My family of 4 (2 adults + 2 teens) stayed in one of the two smaller units on the bottom floor for a week. This hotel is more like a short-term homestay as there is no front desk and you collect your keys from a lockbox.Like most budget accommodations in Tokyo, the room was small but as someone mentioned here, if you adjust yourselves accordingly and manage your expectations, it shouldn't be an issue. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches such as the washer/dryer, toiletries, bidet, sandals, free internet, and umbrellas that were available for use.Urban Stay Shinjuku East is located in the Koreatown section of Shinjuku in a quiet neighborhood. A short walk away is the main street of Okubo where there are many kombinis, restaurants, and a Don Quixote. The closest subway stations are Higashi-Shinjuku Station, Nishi-Waseda Station, and Shin-Ōkubo Station. If you plan on arriving here from Narita via the Skyliner, I suggest you get off at Keisei-Oedo and transfer to the Oedo Line instead of Nippori Station and transferring to the Yamanote Line. If you use the latter option, you will get off Shin-Ōkubo Station which is a busy/hectic station and hard to navigate if you have luggage and/or children.

Excellent location - 4 mins walk from B3 gate of Hingashi Shinjuku stationRooms are very clean and very well keptBathrooms are easy to use!Overall I loved the stay and will stay here again next trip!
Alice was a communicative host and we found everything to be in good order.The place was perfect for our family, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a proper washing machine. More beds in the common area and a full size couch too.The place was well thought of and well equipped with everything from frying pans, toasters, coffee maker and rice cooker, down to soy sauce, salt pepper and cooking oil. Our family enjoyed having daily meals in the unit.It was 5-10 minutes walk to bus stations and train stations, but the area was comfortable and safe. Grocers, drugstore and kombinis were easy to reach. A lot of lively eating spots too nearby.Props to the shower pressure and cleanliness! The cleaning amenities were complete. We stayed for a week and was able to cook and clean properly.Our kids had enough space to play and there were multiple storage wire racks and shelves to organize our stuff.Overall a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!Would definitely come back!
3 beds/4 nights/3 adults/2 carryons per person.We felt that we had enough room for everyone. Be organized and there shouldn’t be an issue. Hostess was very responsive durning our stay which was helpful. Early check in was accessible. It is a good 15 minute walk from the station but that’s the only downfall of the stay. Everything else was good.

히가시신주쿠 역 B3 출구에서 한 5분? 정도 걸어가야해여 패밀리마트도 있고 세븐도 있고 뒤에는 로손도 있어여 위치가 환상적인편은 아닌데 호스트분이 매우 친절 그리고 무난하게 괜찮은편.일본 가정집 맨션이 궁금해서 잡았는데 좋았어요샤워실이랑 화장실은 좁은데 뭐 감내해야하는 부분그리고 온돌이 없어서 추운 것도 감내해야하는 부분 수건이랑 휴지 넉넉한거랑 이불 두꺼운거랑 콘센트 꼽는게 은근 많은건 매우 장점이라고 생각해요주변도 조용하고 아침에 출근하는 사람들 구경도 잼났음 쨋든 어러니 저러니해도 메리트가 있으면 숙박하는거 추천드립니당근데 집에 슬리퍼 없는건 좀 킹받았어요 가지고 오시는걸 추천

Location and Price are the top for this rental. Cleanliness is good and quality of beds are goods. Pillows were small so if you have your travel ones use them with the pillows. That was not a make or break for our group. We would rent suite 102 again if we visit Shin okudo.
