Excellent affordable accom choice for our family of 5 with three teenagers. We had two rooms. Basic lodge with clean and cosy spaces. Very functional with cool vibe. Traditional tatami rooms with futons and super cosy duvets.Drying room and ski storage was a bonus and plenty of space.Newly renovated showers were always available and clean. Soaps and shampoo provided. Wash basins and toilets on same level as bedrooms. Onsen a two min walk away which was a daily ritual. Loved the location near the Karasawa chairlift and rental place.Awesome team running the lodge, always friendly and up for a chat.Thanks Hugo and team. We very much appreciated the ride to and from the bus stop too.
Chohachisou lodge was a great place for our family of five adults to stay and catch up over new years while skiing. We booked a five person room and were very impressed with how warm and cosy the place was. The room was fantastic, bedding was comfortable and very warm, and the facilities (drying room, communal space, kitchenette) were perfect. The lodge is very close to the ski lift, onsen, ski hire shops and the wonderful Akari Swiss Bakery, and only a short walk into the busy part of town with plenty of restaurants nearby. Everything you need is within walking distance. Our host Hugo looked after us very well, always around to answer any questions and give recommendations, he made our stay so easy - thanks Hugo!I will definitely be coming back, I'm already missing the place!
We had an awesome experience at this lodge. Hugo is the best host, always checking on us making sure we had everything we needed, picking us up from the bus stop, giving us a lift to the gondola on rainy mornings and giving us useful tips before we even arrived on where to book skis and lessons. The bakery next door was perfect to get a delicious coffee to go and a nice pastry on our way to the slopes, and we even got amazing pizza delivered to the lodge on some evenings which was super convenient with young kids. The newly renovated showers downstairs and the dining area are brand new and very cosy. The rooms were well heated and the beddings very comfortable. Many thanks again!
2023年3月で閉めるそうです対応が良く、年１回ですが伺っていました歩いてすぐ、熱い外湯があり、お土産、新米の注文も、自分たちは受けてもらいました野沢温泉クーポンを観光案内で購入して、余れば土産屋で使いきり…ただ坂がキツイかな～

周辺のオススメ
A wonderful blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern Western comforts. The rooms are immaculate and generously sized, offering ample wardrobe storage. Ski storage and drying facilities are excellent. The kitchenette is well equipped with a microwave and toaster with an adjoining dining area that doubles perfectly as a games space. Just a 5-minite walk to the Karasawa chair - your gateway to the entire resort - the home trail from the top is a lovely a cruise back to camp at the end of the day. The town is an easy 10 minute stroll away with a plethora of food options. Akari Swiss Bakery, literally next door, has fabulous coffee, breakfast and lunch options along with great pizza. The local, free onsen is a stones thrown away, and the perfect finish after a hard day on the slopes. Hosts, Gabriel and Hugo, were incredibly responsive, helpful and a fantastic source of local knowledge. Would stay again.
