原嶋製茶園の特徴
奥八女の伝統が味わえる、地元産の矢部茶を取り扱うお店です。
山の冷涼な気候で育った、特別な香りの煎茶を堪能できます。
矢部コミュニティセンター前に位置し、地元の茶文化に触れられる場所です。
矢部産の茶葉を使った煎茶を購入。おそらく流行りの深蒸し茶ではなく、中蒸しと思われる煎茶で、程よく渋ささ青さを感じるお茶だった。八女茶特有の旨味・甘みと、中蒸しの茶葉の渋さ・青さがとてもよく調和しており、素朴でどこか懐かしさを感じるお茶だった。ふらりと訪れた旅先で、製茶されたご主人のこだわりを感じられる一杯に出会うことができて、幸運だった。丁寧に接客してもらい、ダムができる以前の矢部の様子や、矢部の山々のことなど、興味深い話を聞かせてもらった。山里にある素朴なお茶屋さんであるが、ぜひ立ち寄ってもらいたい場所である。

Because the region has cool mountain air, large day–night temperature gaps, and frequent fog, it’s known for producing exceptionally aromatic and high-quality tea leaves.I visited this time and tried their Yame Fukamushi-cha (deep-steamed green tea).
