My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and loved it!! Yakushima is a must visit and this house is awesome.The house is clean, spacious and conveniently located. Most importantly though, restaurants on the island have limited hours they're open. We didn't want to adjust our hiking/adventuring schedule around that, so having our own kitchen was perfect. It also gave us a chance to check out a Japanese grocery store and try tons of their offerings.We planned for 3 days here but when we go back will plan on 5 days minimum to really enjoy the house and the island more.
We were a group of friends staying at the house for a workation week and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and new, exactly like in the pictures. This is probably one of the best vacation houses you can find in Yakushima.What we liked:- Central location between the ports, airport and city center, with a bus stop a few steps away making it easy to explore Yakushima even without rental car (which was our case)- Beautifully designed house with superior quality appliances (while normal vacation house usually provides basic models) including IH pressurized rice-cooker, nespresso machine+foaming machine (with lots of capsules provided), and huge washing/drying machine- BBQ on the front deck (when it’s not raining) was the absolute best! All equipments (grill, table, chairs, firelighters) available on-premise. The owner even brought us a box of extra charcoals : ))- Lots of books and leaflets providing info on what to do in Yakushima. The comic on doing the Jomonsugi hike was a great quick way to learn about what to expect, super useful!- Internet was fast and reliable. We were remotely working from the place and there was no problem even with video conferenceWhat we did not like:- Nothing! Only one glitch we had was that the power went out for around 15 min during a stormy night. Good that we checked the emergency lights and loaded the batteries in advance, so we were not really worried.Overall I highly recommends this place for anyone looking for a great time in Yakushima.

Great one unit for group travellers. Close to both miyanoura port and airport. Beds and Futon was comfortable and very ample space for our group . 2 washrooms also help for early morning
