This is a place where I recommend to come by (easily from Tokyo as well) or to train regularly!I really enjoy to train with Erard Shihan when he comes to Europe and my first time in Yokohama was even better because I was able to benefit from his advice and his Aikidō even more directly!I also had the opportunity to observe the training session for children and teenagers, which was very informative, since I myself coach children and teenagers in my hometown in Germany. The children and teenagers had a great time, but at the same time demonstrated good physical fitness, advanced technical skills, and a friendly team spirit!
I really enjoy practicing with everyone at Yokohama Aikidojo! Guillaume Erard-sensei is extremely knowledgable about various martial arts and very good at teaching both kids and adults. Also, his classes use both Japanese and English, so anyone can come and practice without worrying about a language barrier!I have practiced aikido for over a decade, but still learn new things from Erard-sensei every class. In addition to the techniques, we also learn about the worldview and character development of budo. The atmosphere of the dojo is very warm and friendly, but everyone is interested in helping each other to improve and grow. I would recommed this dojo to anyone interested in aikido!横浜合気道場の皆さんとご一緒に稽古に参加させていただくのがいつも楽しいです！ エラール・ギヨーム先生は様々な武道について非常に詳しくて、子供にでも大人にでも丁寧に分かりやすくご指導なさっています。稽古では日本語と英語を併用するので、誰でも言葉の壁を気にせずに稽古に参加できます！１０年間以上合気道の稽古に通っている私にでも、横浜合気道場の稽古で毎回エラール先生に新しいことを学ばせていただけます。技だけでなく、武道の価値観や魂の鍛錬、人格形成などについても大変勉強になります。道場の雰囲気は非常に温かくて、誰もがお互いに向上し成長するために助け合ってくださいます。 合気道にご興味のある方にはこの道場をお勧めします！
家族的な雰囲気、真摯な学び、そして厳しい稽古。ギヨーム・エラール師範が率いる横浜道場は、まさにそんな場所です。彼は教えだけでなく、人生においても寛大です。大人も子供も、迷わずに！これから日本に合気道で訪れるたびに、ここで稽古をします。またお会いできるのが待ち遠しいです！温かく迎えていただき、稽古もありがとうございました！またすぐにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
初心者でもとてもわかりやすく、丁寧に指導していただけます。雰囲気はとても良く、皆さん和気あいあいと稽古に参加されています。
息子(7歳)と姪(9歳と11歳)が道場に通っています。合気道と聞くとなんだかハードルが高い武道のイメージがあったので、小さな子どもにもできるかな、と心配していましたが、エラール先生の丁寧なご指導のもと、3人ともあっという間に合気道の基礎的な型を吸収し、楽しく通わせて頂いております。子どもレッスンは礼儀や武道の精神を重んじたレッスンが行われていますが、型を学ぶ時はゲーム感覚でお教えくださることもあるので子どもが飽きずにレッスンをうまく続ける理由になっていると思います。時々大人の門下生もクラスに加わって、年齢や性別や障がいの壁もなく、門下の皆さん和気あいあいです。授業以外にも先生ご自身が作成されたビデオや資料、先生が参加される道場外のワークショップ等もあって、人それぞれに合う学びができるのもいいと思います。
Yokohama AikiDojo, is a great place to learn Aikido in its purest form and its real-world application. I consider Sensei Erard to be one the most influential figures in Aikido. His knowledge of this art and other martial arts give him a unique view, understanding and approach to teaching. He is able to transfer his knowledge very well to kids of all ages and adults as well.
I've known Guillaume for a long time and I have always admired his desire to make any form of knowledge as easy as understand as humanely possible.Guillaume is the kind of person who makes the choice to teach kids biology while his PHD would allow him a research position, and it says all about his commitment and passion for education.Guillaume is a professional. He is demanding but fair, and I wish I could have had such a great teacher when I started Aikido 20 years ago.

Sensei Erard Guillaume is very intuituve and his Aikido is stunning to watch he also has a very hands-on approach to teaching. I would say he's very astute about other people's feelings and will teach to what the student needs without a one-size-fits-all approach. This is very rare indeed.The dojo has a friendly atmosphere, I made friends immediately.I would highly recommend this dojo. I certainly am going back for more!Thank you for such a wonderfull first impression
