Joey, Take and all that have climbed on board Akiya-Mart to help them are awesome. A couple of blokes going out of their way to help others acheieve the dream of buying a house in Japan.We joined in March and bought a beautiful home and settled in October. The boys (as we call them) made this magic happen. Hooked us up with our buyers agent who is an angel and has helped with every step and more even after our purchase. We have adopted him as our friend on the ground and look forward to many a social occasion. The process was seamless and totally transparent to the extreme. I cant recommend these boys enough.If anyone says any different they need to have a good look at themselves. It is their issue not our boys.
We have purchased our first house in Japan and couldn’t have done it without the help from Take, Joey and our amazing agent Ryo. I can highly recommend Akiya mart the process was pretty seamless. We were so lucky to have Ryo support us through the whole sale process having an agent that was bilingual made it reassuringly easy. We weren’t in a hurry to buy we just wanted something that we thought would be right for our family and I’m so happy we have got the house that we did it’s in such a special place and can’t wait to spend more time enjoying the house spending time in the area and meeting more of our neighbours. My advice to anyone thinking about purchasing a house is to first listen to the podcasts they are very informative and I learnt a lot from listening. Second know the area you want to buy and research beforehand this is a huge help. It was a huge step but we are so happy we did it. We have finalised our house purchase contract with AkiyaMart in Otaru!Take and Joey were fantastic and made the entire process very smooth and easy. We really enjoy their podcast, and in our opinion, their website is the best resource we've seen for Japan property. Our AkiyaMart realtor, Ryo, has been incredible throughout this journey. We've met him twice at the house all the way from his family home in the Osaka region. He has played a key role, offering us valuable advice and support. Take and Joey were extremely helpful in my search for a Tokyo property. The akiya database they set up is very informative in your initial search snd comparison shopping. However the real value is in their extensive network of Japanese service providers. Our agent Yoshi Chatani was invaluable in finding the right property, arranging and closing the deal and assisting with all the other requirements - furniture, insurance, taxes etc. As a non-Japanese citizen you cannot do this yourself. Yoshi is a great guy and definitely went the extra mile. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Yoshi or Akiya Mart again.

Akiya Mart Direct sounded too good to be true at first, and I wasn't sure I'd be a good fit as I was looking for a very small, newer, and managed condo near Tokyo, instead of the typical Akiya most people are in search of. Regardless, I went for it and just recently closed on a condo about an hour north of Tokyo in Saitama!! I could not be happier with how things turned out.From start to finish the entire process took 6 months. And most of that was hands off! Mika, Take, Joey, Erik, Hiro, the entire team was beyond helpful, and made my life incredibly easy throughout the process. The fees associated with closing were much lower than I was expecting as well. I just want everyone to know that this is possible, and once you go all in, their team will take very good care of you.
