Put on 2 nights at Banja.. Lovely place to visit. Tanaka San n his family was great host.. and of course enjoy the lovely homecook Japanese food. Honto ni oishi 😋😋Would love to visit again !
You want to experience a real life Totoro like house? This is your place. From cooking over an open fire inside the house to exploring the fields and forests, and listening to the crickets at night as you gaze upon the stars, you'll find yourself transported into a Miyazaki world. Some may be put off by the outhouse, but this is part of the experience. Mr. Tanaka goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed and makes sure you are taken care of.
Very great place!Peace, warm, calm and great BBQ dinner by yourself.Host, Tanaka San, is nice and introduced lots of history nearby, and his wife, pottery artist, makes lots of interesting pottery work!

The host was very welcoming and warm. He provides advices on where to tour the area. The house is clean and neat with a lot of amenities (toothbrush, soup, towel etc). He comes in every morning to on the furnace and asks if everything is to your liking. Great place! Would definitely come again.
