古ヶ崎浄水場跡は歴史的な魅力があります。
平日でも訪れる人々が絶えない場所です。
落ち着いた雰囲気が漂う史跡です。
Literally the ruins of the former Chiba Prefecture Kogasaki DWTP, Drinking Water Purification Plant. It used be working as the indispensable source for the development of the emerging city in the Twenty Century, but ceased operations in 2007. It was once a popular destination for elementary schools’ field trip, too.Now, with this vast and open turfy field, the site could be an iconic industrial-history heritage, nature-culture mixed leisure park, or, despite the least ideal, could be a nice new modernised residential area. However, so far at the moment, the place is deserted, being left as just a fenced-in huge idle lot. Shame.
