The fantastic Bassfinder service from Bass Japan Direct enabled me to buy a bass that I couldn't have managed to do without Danny's experience and expediting. All email exchanges and communications were really prompt and I always felt completely updated and happy with progress. Highly recommended. Many thanks to BJD.
Purchased a vintage Tokai bass from Danny last week after some previous discussion and support. Throughout he was communicative, helpful, provided useful information regarding delivery and customs between Japan and the UK. Better still, he never came across as pushy or insincere and is a clearly knowledgeable musician that understands what makes a bass a quality instrument. Very fair prices and the instrument was superbly packed and set up out of the box. Would highly recommend and will certainly use Bass Japan Direct again.
This was the best purchase in a very long time. Danny was incredibly responsive, always in touch with full-on disclosure of my guitar's condition. I used his bass hunter option to find a medium scale jazz bass and included with that was a full setup, fresh strings and minor tweaks. Amazingly I got a pre-shipment YouTube video of the guitar, so knew ahead of time what I was getting. It took just 4 days to get here, upstate New York, from Tokyo, packed wonderfully, I couldn't be more happy. Thank you!

Danny was wonderful! He gave me a quote beforehand. The cost for his service was very reasonable and he helped me take care of my county’s taxes on his end. He used Fedex and the shipping time was very reasonable and they packed my bass very well. If I go on the market for a bass again, I will definitely contact Bass Japan Direct again!
