Make Up Co., Ltd.’s model car boutique in Minami-Aoyama is tucked away in a quiet side street, giving it a calm, almost gallery-like atmosphere that feels very different from typical hobby shops. The store is fairly spacious and beautifully arranged, primarily showcasing Make Up’s own high-end resin models, with a smaller selection of handcrafted pieces from other premium manufacturers. For collectors, it is an excellent place to see the brand’s lineup in person, as the display covers a remarkably complete range of their products, allowing close inspection of the exceptional paintwork, fine detailing, and overall craftsmanship for which Make Up is known. However, there are a few limitations to be aware of. Prices are fixed with no discounts, and tax-free shopping for foreign visitors is not available. In addition, while the quality is undeniably top-tier, the subject matter can feel repetitive — many releases revolve around variations of specific models such as the Porsche 911, Lexus LC, or Toyota GR86 in numerous colors and specifications. Despite this, it remains a must-visit destination for serious collectors seeking museum-level automotive miniatures in an elegant setting.
Amazing collection of the best model cars. Highly recommend visiting this small shop in the backstreets of Harajuku.. You ring a doorbell, and someone comes to open the door for you.

まだ指をくわえて眺めているだけですが、いつか超リアルなミニチュアカーを手に入れようと思います。
南青山の分かりにくい場所で、ビルの一階です。店員さんは、ほとんど何も言わず、質問しても、書いてる通りですと、放置してるので、ゆっくり見ることができます‼️非売品のミニカーの値段を聞きましたが、非売品です。と言われました。ドアに鍵がかかっていますが、呼び出しを押すとすぐに来てくれました。
私が今までに行った中で最高のモデルカーストア。コレクターは必見です！（原文）The best model car store I've ever been to hands down. A must visit for any collector!

was very excited to visit the store, when i arrived , the store clerk wasnt smiling at all and wasnt very inviting..i then took a video then he rushed to me and proceed to shouted amd said ‘NO VIDEO” i understand and stopped recording…i then asked some question about the model cars but he was just ignoring me…i then take a look at the discounted box of model car and i ask him, is the broken wing the only thing broken on the ferrari? he then shouted angrily while pointing at the box saying “junk”. yes i know its junk as what the box said but i just want to know whether its the only broken thing….turns out went i got home, the wing wasnt broken at all, it was kept seperately and we need to put it ourselves…if only the store clerk told me abt this and didnt act so annoyingly..maybe i would have bought more…i dont understand why the store clerk cant be nice to us…we’re also diecast enthusiast and some of us come all the way from a different country…so why cant u be a little nicer? its not like we’re just some random kids going into the shops just to takde some pic…we’re enthusiast..who took the iniciative to walked all the way to the store…very dissaponted with the hospitality…overall nice model cars..but to visit? i dont recommend..better go to other store..
