Fantastic place to really experience the history and importance of Hiroshima. Learn directly from a survivor of the bombing and they provide tours of the Peace Park as well. Such a great place!

Comfortable and a good location.
The World Friendship Center is an excellent deal and a great program focused on promoting peace. It's akin to an upscale hostel where you get your own room but have a shared shower and toilet. Futon style beds and though there's no laundry it is next to a cheap laundromat. Staying is very affordable (especially if you stay longer than one day) and included in the cost is a guided tour of peace park by a local volunteer. Also included is a meeting with a local Hibakusha (atomic bomb survivor). It's a one of a kind experience. Very powerful.
