The ski rental is fine, however the skis that I rented were quite worn and old, as they were scratched, didn't glide too well, and were really bent so I couldn't really put them together. Furthermore, all the available helmets didn't fit expect one which only did to some extent and some of them were so extremely worn and some were multi-purpose or biking helmets. However, the boots were in good condition. I guess it's in a pretty remote place so perhaps you can't expect too much.As it's very conveniently located next to the Hatsukaishi entrance of the Ishuichi Maruyama ski resort, there's no doubt it gets quite crowded during the early morning; therefore, if you want to rent skis here, you should better be the first person here in the morning. The service wasn't that friendly either to be honest, perhaps because I was a foreigner or due to language barriers.

ハツカ石口リフト乗り場の目の前なのでとても便利です。2日間借りましたが、1日目の終わりも快く預かってくれるので、宿までもっていく必要もなく、とても楽でした。キャッシュレスも対応しているようでしたが、、、PayPayのみだったような気がします。自分はPayPayやっていないのでその分の割引の恩恵は受けられませんでしたが。事前に行くとわかっていれば予約していくと受付がスムーズで、事前に準備してくれているのでサイズさえ合ってしまえば、時間短縮になります！また宿割もあり、宿泊先を言ったら割り引いてくれました！

My husband and I were staying at Hotel Justice and Takano was just across from us. We are Australian so we were a bit concerned by some of the reviews, however we wanted to hire some ski gear. There was a younger guy who helped us to hire stuff and the older man was helpful and friendly. They have a good size range for men if you need this and went up to a ‘4XL’ for jackets and pants. When we returned our gear, it was the two older gentleman at the shop and we had no issues. Would recommend hiring from them!
