南部交番所(保安巡視員詰所)の特徴
奈良公園の南部交番所は、妙見宮へのアクセスポイントです。
裏にはエコトイレが完備されている便利な施設です。
参拝後の休憩には最適な場所として利用されています。
春日原生林ハイキングコースの入り口にあら、奈良公園の職員さんがいます。裏にバイオトイレがあります。
原付・自動二輪車は通行禁止の様です。
トイレは最新式のバイオトイレで臭いはほとんどありません。4時過ぎに鍵が掛けられてます。車やバイクは通れません。
奈良公園南部交番所 14:34分 通過※ 行程概要・妙見宮の最上段にある、報恩閣を 参拝 14:04 ・参拝を終え、下り終えたのが、14:14 ・南部交番所 14:34分 通過・次のポイント、瀧坂 碑、へ と進む。

周辺のオススメ
The forest rangers box is the start of a hike around Mt Kasuga. I only did one section (1.5h) because it was getting dark early during winter. The whole route takes 4-5hrs with some paths shared with traffic.A nice hike away from all the people in the deer park. Only saw 6 other tourists during my hike.Most of the track is on a gravel trail. Signage is mostly in Japanese when you get to the top. So take a photo of the handwritten sign at the bottom.Some really nice views that peak out through the pine forest along the way. It's a gentle slope upwards. The old Buddha statue cave was closed off. Some slippery rocky parts near the reservoir.
