Want to try something other than a hotel? Nice sized apartment. Very clean. Super close to a train station one stop away from the main Kyoto station. Plenty of little shops nearby and is within walking distance to some cool temples and shrines. Only downside was we couldn't check in till after 4 and the local shrines close pretty close to that so missed out on some sightseeing. Good spot for multiple nights stay but stick to a hotel if you want to checkout the area more thoroughly.
