This place is consistently rated 5 stars for a reason. Never have I stayed at a place so welcoming and hospitable. Easily the best lodge accomodation experience I've had and couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Hakuba.The actual accomodation was comfortable and well heated but it's the owners hospitality that makes this place 5 stars.You feel like you are staying with family. They gave us lifts when they weren't obligated to, prepared us a home made Japanese hotpot meal, gave tips on everything from what mountains to visit, attractions to see, Japanese phrases and they even sell reasonably priced drinks! もっと長く滞在したかったのに！（原文）Hakuba Haven Lodge is very conveniently situated, within walking distance to Echoland and shuttle bus pick up points to all major ski resorts.The lodge was clean and cosy, and owners were very hospitable, assisting us in arranging for restaurant bookings, ski equipment rentals and recommendations for things to do in Hakuba.Highly recommended for anyone in Hakuba for a ski holiday. Would have loved to stay longer!

（原文）Hands down one of the best lodge experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, Andy and his wife Senae were incredibly kind and helpful. Whether its offering tips on the good riding, or helping to make restaurant reservations, these two are always willing to go the extra mile. If you have plans to travel to Hakuba, do yourself a favor and stay here. P.s. Make sure to try Senaes amazing hot pot. You will not regret it.

（原文）I highly recommend a stay at the Hakuba Haven Lodge. The owners, Andrew and Senae, are extraordinarily hospitable and are always more than happy to go the extra mile for their guests.It was a great experience to come home and catch up with the Andrew, Senae and the other guests in a very homely setting.Andrew and Senae were great in walking guests through the best snow fields and restaurants to visit, and activities to participate in.The rooms were great, with very comfortable beds and facilities, and always guaranteed a quality sleep.I can’t wait to stay at the Hakuba Haven Lodge again in the future - I miss it already.

（原文）Wow where do I start! My first time to Japan was made amazing by the owners. Helped us with travel around the town, locations for eating out, helped me with basic Japanese phrases, even helped with Itinerary on fly out day. All round great lodge and a great experience. Great place. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Despite the awful Kiwi accent of Mon pigeon, it's been a perfect stay. Highly recommended!!

We stayed in the very cozy log cabin. The owners honestly run this place amazingly with their fantastic service, friendliness, knowledge of the area and genuine interest in holiday goers. Definitely highly recommend this place to stay with various options for rooms and the location is good.
Amazing service. Stayed in the log lodge and it had everything we needed for the week. Owners happily took us in the van where we needed to go and there is a shuttle just outside the hotel for easy access to the mountains.
Although this place isn't a 5 star hotel. And you can tell. They make up for it and more with the amazing service, and knowledge of the area. For example, on our first day there the lodge owner took us around to get our gear and show us around in his van. Allowing us to get straight in to our snowboarding and skiing. They also offered great breakfasts and absolutely amazing dinners. I wish I could rate this place 7/5 but 5/5 will do. Will definately be going back

The amazing hospitable people who run the place. They were always very accommodating for all our needs. I've stayed at many places in hakuba over the last 10 years and none have ever had the homily feel that I felt staying here. It was like being at home away from home.Location is perfect far enough that you don't have to hear the hustle and bustle from the main drag down echoland but you're only a 7 min away so it's extremely accessible plus the shuttle bus for the mountains is literally just outside the property.Andy and Senai (and the rest of the staff) were absolutely amazing and offered such a great experience I will definitely be back for a stay and a gin and tonic with Andy
