Wonderful ride plan great hotels staff remained in contact and ready to assist if needed.
Overall summary: Excellent service, bikes, roads, and hotels; weather sucked, and the GPS could have been handled better, but otherwise the package was perfect and I would work with them again.We were two experienced USA riders taking their first international motorcycle trip. We found Rushcorp through Google and went with them after a lengthy e-mail exchange.We were traveling to Japan in mid-October to watch MotoGP and do a ride, Dick and the team at Rushcorp were more than happy to accommodate our plan. Connor negotiated a group discount, and Rushcorp only charged us for rentals on the MotoGP days, even though they had carefully mapped GPS between track and hotel.Rental fees for the bikes seemed high, but GPS, luggage, and aftermarket bits made them more robust than a standard rental bike, so it was tough to draw a true comparison. I think we got better pricing on hotels due to Rushcorp's great relationships with them.Communication was great. Rushcorp sent us detailed estimates and updated them every time we made changes or asked questions about the plan. Payment was handled over PayPal, with a full refund guarantee up to 2 weeks before the rental date. Almost everything is paid up front (bikes, hotels, etc.), so less to think about during the trip. Rushcorp's experienced riders provided great advice on structuring our trip for the best experience and safety.Arrival was seamless with their advice on which airport and train to use. We were easily able to hail a cab to get the last few kilometers to their office in Tokyo. Rodger introduced us to the bikes, taught us how to use the GPS, etc. It was very quick, but Rodger was very nice to talk to, and I could have stayed there all night chatting with him, exchanging stories, and learning about Japan.Every hotel was ready for us; they knew we were coming and gave us special places to park. The weather was not ready for us; It rained almost the entire time we were in Japan. They were preparing for a typhoon on the day we left Japan. Unusual for that time of year, though.The roads were splendorous. Winding, twisting, narrow roads, lots of ups and downs, huge variety - everything from racetrack quality sweepers and mountain switchbacks to goat trails the width of a walking path with a sheer drop on one side, farms and valleys, villages, cities, an oceanside port, ski-lifts, just about anything you could hope to see! - it was motorcycle heaven.We did have GPS problems as well. First day of riding, we hadn't filled up before the ride, so we had to detour for a nearby gas station. The GPS rerouted us, and we nearly got suckered into slabbing it 200km on the highway to the next waypoint. Waypoints were the key.Custom routes on the GPS use a combination of waypoints and automatic routing. If you have your waypoints too far apart, and you get a little off the prescribed path, then the GPS can easily reroute you to more efficiently reach your next waypoint, taking you away from all the beautiful roads.Most hotels we stayed out were Ryokan, and very comfortable, including breakfast and dinner reservations for well prepared meals. The food was fantastic, and so were the Onsen. An hour or so washing and soaking up hot water after a long day of riding in cold conditions is very nice.Despite the weather and GPS troubles, the trip was fantastic. I can't wait to go back and ride all those roads in the dry. It's some of the best riding I've ever done, and I've done plenty here in California. Rushcorp is an excellent partner for riding in Japan. They provide an end-to-end experience, have a lot of knowledge that they are eager to share, and they're just nice folks, operating an honest business. Everything about their package was perfect except for the number of waypoints on the GPS routing. I believe if they added more waypoints, we would have been able to get back on track much more easily. I would definitely work with them again.
My gift to my brother for his 50th was a MotoGP and 1 week tour. I recommended Japan since it's a big, once in a lifetime trip, and he said yes. After a little research came across Ninja Tours / Rushcorp Motorcycle Rentals. All I can say is: WOW! Everything from excellent choice in well maintained motorcycles, perfectly planned routes and hotels, and excellent service. If you wished you could do a ride through Japan, Ninja Tours / Rushcorp Motorcycle Rentals is THE place to do it with. Tours by avid motorcyclists who have taken the time to discover the best rides you didn't know existed (man, they must have spent A LOT of time and gotten lost A LOT of times to find these roads). Little highway riding, A LOT of country riding with a nice mix of fast sweepers. (Tip: we rode 9-15 October, trees changing colours, empty roads, heat, rain, mist ... choose the smaller displacement bikes, some of those mountain roads don't have hairpin turns but more like u-turns!) Exhausting and rewarding rides; I haven't been in bed, asleep at 8:00 PM since I was a child. And the hotels! All you need is change of base layers for your motorcycle suit, the hotels provide the rest. Seriously. Just bring change of base layers, even toothbrushes are provided. Excellent food, service, and onsens (public baths ... don't be shy, the Japanese aren't!). It isn't cheap, but it was worth every single hard earned Yen. My heartfelt thanks for making this an excellent trip. (Highlight: monkey giving me a "look" while crossing a road deep in one of the innumerable national parks.)

Rodger of Rushcorp Motorcycle Rentals couldn't be more helpful in the short hire of a bike and pretty much all the kit required to go with it. He even opened up the shop just for us outside of office hours. They (at Rushcorp) are clearly passionate about biking, have great well kept bikes and gear, and will give you the benefit of their knowledge on some awesome biking in Japan. No doubt their organised tours via Ninja Tours would be equally well run.
