原爆爆心地から生き残っ支障菩薩像です。
恐ろしい時代を生き延びたツアーガイドのボランティアのおかげでここに来ました。
その爆発が起こったとき、彼は母親の胎内の胚でした。
今、彼はそれらの時代の生きたリマインダーです。
(原文)I came here thanks to the tour guide volunteer who is a survivor from those terrible times. When that explosion happened he was an embryo in his mother's womb. Now he is a living reminder of those times.
私はこの彫像がここにあり、私が訪れることができて幸運だったことを見てうれしく思いました。
その彫像は私たちができる愛についても私に思い出させます。
この像を守ってくれてありがとう。
(原文)I was glad to see that this statue is here and that I was lucky enough to visit though it is a sad reminder of the cruelty humans are capable of. The statue reminds me also of the love we are capable of. Thank you to keeps up this statue.
歴史の目撃者、であり歴史の証言者、ですねぇお地蔵さんは只々静かに座を組まれるばかりしかしそのお姿が、ことばに尽くせないことばを、われら凡夫に伝えてきますその足元に残された黒い陰、を目にすると思わず天を仰ぐわれら人類は、進歩、したのか? 自問自答するばかり。

A very short distance from the A-Bomb Dome. I hadn’t known about this the day we visited the A-Bomb Dome but made another trip the next day specifically to see it.A small shrine tucked away in front of a random building. Absolutely no pomp and circumstance. A sobering reminder of man’s destructive nature.You can feel the rough granite contrasted by the smooth polished granite which was shadowed by Jizoson during the blast which detonated almost exactly above him.
