I really appreciate the translator they have to make it way easier for those who are still learning Japanese. Dr Hiro was amazing and gentle . Very thorough. Will recommend DR Hiro very awesome Dr Dental . He also is an Army Ground Veteran .
Needed to go to the dentist for a routine cleaning and Okinawa White Dental was highly recommended. As you enter the dentist it is very clean and professional. The desk clerks help get everything settled and you can use international insurance or pay by cash/credit card. An excellent experience as they walk you through each step and offer choices such as flouride types. All in all a great experience and probably the best dentist I have been to as of yet!

（原文）Wasn't happy with the service - and it was expensive compared to others. Paid over 15,000 yen for an exam and cleaning. The exam was a total of maybe two minutes of the dentist doing a visual exam and poking around with the metal poking tool they use. No x-ray. The cleaning was brushing for about 10-15 minutes. I could've brushed and flossed myself. No buffer drill, or whatever it's called, to polish. I was really disappointed with both the exam and cleaning, especially considering the high cost, and won't return.

What a pos place they are rude and have no idea what they are doing they started a root canal on me and because the local anesthetic was not good for me they took the cap off my tooth gave me a referral to go to naval knowing they are closed on a Saturday so I was walking around in pain with a huge hole in my tooth ! They could have put the cap back on and then I would have made the appt the following Monday ! Nope then when I called they said I can come in if I wanted to to put it back ! Are u kidding me ! So I had to call emergency dental on base to try and see someone thankfully I got someone! This place never again!
Let me start by saying the staff at this clinic is amazing when it comes to making you feel comfortable but I felt it necessary to write this not so good review. I went here for a cleaning and exam. The cleaning was great, and the review of what needed to be done on my teeth went well. I basically had to get a few cavities filled which took a total of 3 sessions. So 3 different days since they only have hour appointment slots. If the dentist went over the allotted time then someone else took over, then he would come back to check the work. First visit, he started working on the area but went over the time allotted so they put a temporary filling. Second visit, he put the fillings in on the bottom teeth (3 molars) . After that visit, I couldn’t even eat on that side because it hurt. Also I couldn’t floss between two of the molars because it was so sensitive, and my floss was getting caught on something. Third visit, another dentist worked on a filling in the top teeth, and after that I mentioned how my bottom teeth hurt and how I couldn’t floss. So they bring back my original dentist to look at it. He tried using the floss and noticed it was tough. He did some work on it but I didn’t understand what exactly what was being done. It looked as if it was just adding more filling in between my teeth then filing the area. After he was done, he just told me not to pull the floss up but slide it through because it would make my fillings weak. That right there made me uncomfortable since that’s not really solving the issue. He did say if it was still sensitive to give a call and just come back, but after the advice he gave on how to take care of the issue I chose to go somewhere else. While waiting for my new dentist appointment, I wasn’t able to eat on the side I had fillings done because it was sensitive. At the new dentist I found out my fillings were poorly done and he was able to pick at the filling and pull some of it off with no real effort! He had to redo the work that was done and now that area feels so much better AND I can floss easily again. The sad part of this is that he said with him having to redo the fillings, it has made them weaker which will potentially end up having to be crowned later down the road. Again this is my personal experience and maybe I’m the only one who will have an issue with this place. I just wanted to put it out there for anyone who may have to get a few fillings done in the same area.
So I went to this clinic 8 months ago to ask them if I have a cavity in a particular tooth that had been bothering me, they told me the problem may be related to my gums instead of cavities. 8 months later part of the tooth came off because the cavity has gone too deep, and now I need a root canal. If they had bothered checking with an X-ray then this would not have happened. Being overly cautious is always better than otherwise in the health profession. I don't like writing negative reviews but when something is so easily preventable and I am facing lifelong consequences (and extra cost) I am left with no other option.
This dental clinic is the best I have ever been to. After having previous bad experiences in the past at dentist offices, coming here has completely put me at ease. Incredibly professional, efficient, and the friendliest staff. I highly recommend this dentist office to everyone.
