He have been one of my most favorite artist.You will know when you see and hold his tea bowl. This is the bowl I would choose out of all my collections. Finally, I visited him and I was very much honored by the subtle and heartfelt welcoming by him and his wife. I bought some pieces, but this bowl was not for sale. His wife knew I came all the way from Texas and Gesson-san’s heart of sharing... She handed me this bowl and said, “Please..” This WAS my most favorite piece of art that I always wanted out of all the pieces he made.. In one of the magazines he got interviewed, his house was one of the top 10 of “The House You Want to Live” in Japan.So, I had the tour of their house. Great artist family.
