赤れんがパークの北東、舞鶴港に突き出た前島に設置された公園です。
広場があり、海の眺めも良好。
天気がよければ気分のいい場所です。
市街地方面へは、海上に架けられた橋を通っていくことが出来ます。
セアカゴケグモがいるらしい！
ふつうの小さな海辺の公園。
海が好きな人にオススメ。

舞鶴Chatta花火祭りみなとちゃったまつり舞鶴チャッタフェスティバルは、7月下旬に赤レンガ公園の隣のベイエリアで開催されます。
この毎年恒例の祭りは7月の最後の土曜日と日曜日に予定されています。
それは舞鶴の方言にちなんで名付けられ、この地域の地域社会によって組織されました。

（TGM京都ガイド：trans-word +）（原文）Maizuru Chatta Festival with fireworks みなとちゃったまつりMaizuru Chatta Festival is held in late July at a bay area next to the Red Brick Park. This annual festivity is scheduled on the last Saturday and Sunday of July. It was named after the local dialect of Maizuru and organized by the local community of this area. It was first held in 1975 and continued on to this day. The final part of its festivity closes with a massive fireworks shot from ships anchored in the bay. There is a participation of Russian crew of a ship anchored around this time of the year along with Maritime Self Defense Force of Maizuru. The area of a park next to the bay has a large space for you to sit on the grass and relax while viewing its showtime.
