:)（原文）They have a good selection of treats, shampoos, and other dog supplies. They did great with my dog for her nail trim. If you stop in frequently you can find some cool dog puzzles. They have a decent selection for dogs with allergies (allergy treats, medicated spray, and anti-itch shampoo). The employees are friendly. :)

（原文）We leave our cat here when we can't find a cat sitter when we go out of town. You have to be very specific about feeding or they might throw away half your food and call you before you get back to tell you that your pet is out- but if you are explicit about amount at morning and night, it will be ok. Facility is clean and happy. Pets seem to be well cared for. My cat doesn't seem to mind because he won't get in the kennel to leave when I pick him up (he does at the vet). I think they spoil him a little :).

Friendly staff and convenient services.
This place should be renamed “Kareless Kennels”. The entire staff is unprofessional and unhelpful. The adoption process was more painful than a trip to the DMV. They are in desperate need of new management. Why can’t you adopt a pet the same day? Don’t you want the animals to go to good homes as soon as possible? The process of coming in, interviewing, and then waiting for a call from you later that afternoon (especially when you don’t call if you didn’t get the animal) is ridiculous. No animal deserves to be under your care.
Adopted a dog. Bathed her as soon as we walked in the door and she was covered in fleas. (But according to them they spray every couple of weeks) They also required that she be spayed. Took her to Kadena Vet and discovered they had no records of vaccinations since 2014. So paid for all vaccinations to include BORDETELLA. Then I try set her up an appointment for "required spay" with Kadena Vet. Kadena Vet advised that they were not making any spay appointments for 6 weeks. Called back in 6 weeks and was told that they are not making appointments till the following month. Base vet continues to say they are "not taking any spay/nurturing appointments till the following month" FOR THE LAST 3 months. I explained this again and again to Karing Kennels. I answered the phone every couple of weeks when they called me wanting "proof of spay" and told them that I was in fact trying to get it done and attempts had been made. Then she called spouses supervision because dog wasn't spayed yet. REALLY?! Not everyone is comfortable going off base for services where there is a language barrier. Honestly if you want a pet, save your money and go buy one. Then at least your not being harassed to accomplish what the base obviously doesn't provide. Provide you with the pet sure....just not the required "spay" service. At least when medical can't supply a service they will supply an interpreter for off base.
This is a two part review. The first addresses the adoption facility, which was staffed by very polite, understanding staff and was an absolute pleasure to adopt our dog from.The second addresses the boarding facility, which is staffed by equally polite and understanding staff, and which has kennels significantly larger than I was expecting. I would like to say thank you to the staff at Karing Kennels for their extreme understanding and willingness to work with me through a difficult situation. I'm confident the dogs left under your care are being treated with the attention and love they deserve.
