駒札：勢至丸（せいしまる）さま勢至丸は法然上人の幼名です。
法然上人んは、父は押領使（武士）の漆間時国、母は秦氏（はたうじ）で美作国（岡山県）久米南条稲岡の庄で長承2年（1133）4月7日に生まれました。
幼名は、阿弥陀仏の右脇侍で、仏の智門をつかさどり衆生に菩薩心を起こさせ、智慧の光をもって一切を照らし衆生が地獄・餓鬼界へ落ちないように救う勢至菩薩にあやかって名付けられました。
勢至丸は幼いころから、よく西の壁に向かって端座合掌していたと言われています。
