An alternative to using the Kinosaki Ropeway to get to the top of Mt. Daishi. Very peaceful and not crowded. Distance is around 0.8 miles (1.3 km) one way with around 700 feet (215 m) elevation change. Would recommend using proper shoes as the path can be a bit steep and rocky. Dozens of interesting statues along the path and halfway up you have the option to stop at Onsenji. Took me around 45 minutes to hike to the top going slow and taking a lot of photos.
