前から気になっていたところでやっと行けたという感じです。
すごい急な階段か、左手の少しなだらかな道を選んで登れます。
他の投稿でもあるように、人気が全くないのと、落ち葉の季節で落ち葉だらけでした。
しかし、龍に関係する社殿が2つほどあり、一番上の奥の院のようなところに八大龍王と妙見大菩薩、猿田彦命が祀られていました。
途中に稲荷社もありました。
参拝者が増えて、維持管理が行き届いたら趣のあるいい場所だと思います。
えげつない登り階段の横に荷物用リフトが、左りコースを進むと少しなだらかな九十九折れ。
傾斜がとても高い階段を上り向かいましたが、本殿、社務所は閉鎖されていました。
手入れされていれば、とても趣きのある良い神社だと思います。

Hachidai-Ryuoh Nittenji Temple 八大龍王日天寺ittenji Temple is a Buddhist shrine founded at the foot of Mt. Hiei Yamagoe Drive. It has been little deserted since there is no one takes care of this shrine at the regular routine and there is no information of here available.The sign in front of the shrine says 八大龍王日天寺 Hachidai-Ryuoh-Nittenji. 八大龍王 Hachidai-Ryuoh means the King of 8 great dragons and it is a deity which is known as the incarnation of Shaka himself in a form of dragon. It is believed to have brought rain and blessed humans with water. Hachidai-Ryuoh is a god which bless you with water.八大龍王は、釈迦生身の眷属で、釈迦生誕の砌、彼等が天より甘露を降らせ祝福したともいう高い神格をもつ龍神。
水を司どる神、水分の神でもある。

In the part of Biwako Sosui you can see piles of white san which is formed by accumulated particles of granite.
