Best green tea shop. I'm an avid green tea drinker and tried several German and international vendors. Hibiki-an is the clear Number 1. Most important thing the tea quality is great and the prices range from cheap to crazy, just like in a good wine store. Even the lower grades have nicely formed leaves, showing a high level of craftsmansip. Now what makes them special is the love for their products. I have never received so thoughtfully packed tea shipment. Here a postcard, there some instructions, here some Wagashi paper and sometimes an additional gift item. They also sell great accessoires such as teapots and tableware. Many items are artisanal, hand-crafted and quite expensive. I bought some tea cups four years ago, use them daily and they have survived even some droppings to the floor... So all in all, clear recommendation for any green tea lover.

It's much better quality than the tea from the local Japanese supermarket (which I've gotten when in a pinch, in California). I've also ordered a kyusu and a handful of expensive oribe teacups, which are of different sizes, and have a wonderful wabi-sabi aura.
