House-turned-hostel. Pick up / drop off service and close proximity to the airport make it worthwhile as an overnight stay during a layover or when you have an early flight. Very basic accommodation and owner wasn't overly friendly or talkative but still recommended as an in-and-out place.
This place give you a bit of a country side(rural) experience. They have traditional Japanese floor beds
Pretty decent and affordable accommodation. While it is near to the Narita Airport, the conveyance to and from the Hostel premises is a little inconvenient. The host is very kind and helpful and assists with pickup / drop facilities as well.
Asked owner for towel and to turn heat on. Did neither and disappeared for rest of night. Terrible nights sleep at this hostel. He didn't even point out shower was downstairs so I had to go out in rain and search on my own. At check in we asked if we'd have dorm room to ourselves or if there were other guests (he said there was two people but in fact there were none). Big mistake since we then got charged double for the "private" room when it turns out we'd have had this same room to ourselves anyway if we paid dorm rate. I looked in two other "rooms", one was crammed with storage and looked like owners bedroom, the other was storage and looks like it could be used if need be. We had third room which looks like it could sleep 4-6 people on tatami. Owner never smiled and was not social. Felt uncomfortable even after multiple attempts to engage him. He speaks English which isn't the reason. I feel ripped-off and lied to and didn't even enjoy my stay. Upside was free bike use and you'll need it to get food at 7-11 which is a ten minute ride. Pickup service took 45 minutes-hour to arrive despite giving time and calling right when I landed. Was nice enough to drop us off at nearby haniwa museum since itd be closed next two days if we tried to walk. With more honesty in pricing and a marginal effort at making us comfortable I'd have given this place 4 stars. Go figure...My guess is there's not much repeat business here. I wonder why lol?
The Hostel is quite close to the airport, so much so that it only took 15-20 minutes to get there. The saving grace of this was that he picked you up and dropped you off at the airport. I think this was the best thing a hostel can do, though there is a charge of 300 yen per person before 7am (not a complaint, it is quite early). He was a bit brisk with us though. His directions to the different pickup points were a little confusing and I didn't figure out where he wanted us to go until after he was on our way to pick us up. Needless to say I was embarrassed but he seemed quite distant that day and the following morning. His English was good, the hostel had everything you needed, and sleeping conditions were fairly normal for a Japanese style hostel.

It's a bit away from most popular destinations but Mr. Yama is a very lovely owner and he makes the experience of being hosted great. Fully recommend it
