Sobanosato is the birthplace of Soba, located on the old Nakasendo trail. They have a restaurant with Soba dishes made from buckwheat that is grown, harvested and made into noodles.They give you hot tea, and parsley pickled and other pickles, and you choose your Soba. They also have Soba set, which include a Soba tasting menu.I had the set and it included a cold Soba noodles with a dipping sauce, a tasty soup with Soba dumplings, buckwheat with mushrooms, and a delicious Soba dessert.It is a must if you pass or walk by the area.
