Their professional and courteous staff helped me to start with zero Japanese knowledge and reach a level of conversational Japanese that I use to live and work in Japan. The style of teaching and small class sizes allowed me to practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening with quick and helpful feedback.Learning Japanese wasn't the only amazing thing about GenkiJACS! During this time, I also made many close friends with fellow students from around the world on GenkiJACS field trips. I saw beautiful places around Kyushu and gained a deeper interest in the people and culture of Japan. 十分お勧めできませんでした！（原文）Spent 1-Year studying Japanese at Genki JACS. Before starting my course, i had no knowledge of Japanese. I could not read Kanji, nor make even the simplest sentences. But from day one, you learn an immense amount of knowledge in a very relaxed and friendly way, so even for a person who might have a slower than average reading speed, i never had problem to keep up with the small max 8 student classes.Great teachers, staff and location. You will not only learn the language at the school, with all the events and activities, and the local knowledge from the staff and teachers, you will also very easily find a way to learn about the Culture and Lifestyle of Japan and Fukuoka.Could not recommend enough!

（原文）It is my second time to study in this school. I intend to spend 2-3 weeks on Japanese learning every year in Gennki. The teacher , faculties and atmosphere are always comfortable. I get improved or recover from my rusty Japanese quickly in short time. It would be helpful if teachers could be stricter and more demanding to students on class and homework.

This school is not so good as I thought. I have been studying here at this school over three months; before I came to school I had already studied in Japan for the past year. That is, I think I am entitled to make a fair comment, which may somewhat help you to think twice before you decide on this school. Here comes my bad opinions about this school, which are listed as follows1. Tuition fee Compared with the previous school also in Fukuoka, this school charges students with one-year course at ¥990,000(Japanese yen), which is a lot higher than my previous one(¥760,000). On top of that, you have to pay extra money for excursion and party. That's right, it's not included in tuition fee. My previous school didn't charge me extra money for either of the two.If you want to spend your money wisely, please think twice before you decide on this school.2. The staffThis school has hired some English native speakers as working staff. But, no matter they speak English or Japanese, the biggest thing in common among them is that they are often unwilling to offer to help students with the residence ID and health insurance. You have to deal with it in person, which means you have to run errands on your own. OMG, try picturing running back and forth from home to immigration bureau for several times on end. Can you bear that?If you ask them for for help, the only reply you 100% will get is that we want to help you but you should do it by yourself and it always ends up not offering any help. If you can't say a single word of Japanese, please think twice before you decide on this school.3. The teachersSome of the teachers are very hardworking, another will are somewhat emotional, while others may slack off during the class. Whether you will have a good teacher or not, that all depends. The most important thing is most of the teacher can't speak English. They explain every thing in Japanese. That is, you will have difficulty understanding what the teacher says, unless you have studied Japanese before you come.

Great school. Kind staff. Mostly European students here. Prices are the highest here compared to other schools. But the class sizes are smaller so more one on one time with teacher. Although they need to chill out when it comes to asking a question in English. That’s extremely frustrating that you can’t clarify what you are learning. The teacher just answers you back in Japanese even though they speak perfect English lol So then you are even more confused and uncomfortable.
Einer der besten besten Sprachschulen die es überhaupt gibt !!Die Lehrer sind gewillt dir jedes kleine Detail zu erklären falls man Probleme hat.Die Lehrmethoden sind Fehlerfrei und motivieren einen Spaß am lernen zu haben.Nicht nur das lernen sondern auch die Nebenaktivitäten die die Schule veranstaltet beziehen einen in die Kultur Japans ohne das man sich wie der größte Turi fühlt.Als ich da war fand ich auch super schnell Leute die einem auch schnell ans Herz wachsen.Ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen!!Danke (о´∀`о)
Great learning experience with friendly personnel. The rather small but centrally located school creates a family-like atmosphere. The learning progress is taken very seriously, attendance is mandatory.Special recommendation: the culture class with an exceptionally engaged sensei.
