Amazing person and the best tea I have ever hadI recommend their gyokuro and their hojicha
Stumbled across this cosy tea shop by the smell of the roasting hojicha on the street. The owner and his neighbour was very friendly and showed us the roasting process. Bought some hojicha 100g for 540 yen.

Sweet sweet tea shop!It is a traditional, not fancy but charming tea shop that specializes in green tea. The owner is a rather old Japanese man, very welcoming and polite. He know very little English but still tried to communicate, gave me explanations about some teas and even prepared a tea for me to tasting free of charge. Prices seem very reasonable and the quality of what I tasted and bought was high.

One of the greatest experiences we had in Kyoto. Mr. Nakao Masashi is a lovely men who taught us how to make matcha and sencha tea. The store is very authentic and having tea with Ms. Masashi was such a pleasant experience. Really recommend for both high quality tea and authentic experience in Kyoto.
