慶養寺 Keiyoji (Honryuji) is the site of a sad love story that transpired in 1637.薬はきかぬ房枕 (Kusuri wa kikanu bō-makura) The Sickbed No Medicine Could Cure is the fourth story in the third volume of 井原西鶴 Ihara Saikaku's eight volume 男色大鑑 (Nanshoku Ōkagami) [Great Mirror of Male Love], short stories of male-male love published in 1687.In the story, 伊丹右京 Itami Ukyō is loved by 母川采女 Uneme Mokawa who is loved by 志賀左馬之助 Shiga Samo'nosuke. Ukyō is persued by unwanted attention that turns into a murderous plot. Ukyō preemptively dispatches one of his foes but is captured and ordered to commit harikari at this very temple. When Ukyō had impaled himself and been beheaded by his second, the distraught Uneme knelt down and commits harikari as well. On the 17th day after their death, Samonosuke committed harikari as well, being inconsolate over his lover's death. A Google search will turn up several translations of the story in much greater depth.
台東区HPにあった庚申塔の情報をみて参拝させていただきました。
延宝八庚申(1680）年の庚申塔でした。
340年以上前の庚申塔でした。
台東区は300年以上前の庚申塔が多く残っていると感じました。
今戸神社と待乳山聖天の間にあります。
感じの良いお寺さん。
ご縁いただきありがとう。
いつの間にか仁王像が門に鎮座してる。
今戸神社に行く人達が此処のお寺と間違えた事に気付く為かなぁ。
門にいる仁王様が迫力あります。
龍門寺十二世良寮和尚により１６５３年（承応2年）に開山しました。
元々は寛永１６２５年（寛永２年）に蔵前に創建され、その後に今戸に移転したと云われています。
境内は、花や緑でいっぱいです。
春は桜、秋は紅葉と境内の彩が素敵です。
浅草寺方面の賑やかさとは対照的に落ち着く場所で、鐘を撞くところは、休憩処になっています。
すぐ向こうは桜の名所、山谷堀公園です。
鐘突堂で一服しました。

お参りさせて頂きました。
奥様がとても感じのいい方でした。
お庭の花や睡蓮鉢がきれいです。
素敵な亀趺があります。
