This is my second time moving with Smart Movers. Top quality service, reliable, fast and responsive. If you are looking for a great cost/quality deal moving your stuff, well, look no more and hire Smart Movers.
Pros- Arrived on time and completed the move in a reasonable time frame- Responds quickly-No damage to items or common areas-Friendly-Fair pricing-English-speakingCons-Limited Japanese ability made coordination with building staff difficult-Did not follow building requirements without repeated reminders-Failed to pre-register with building management in advance despite being informed to do so (until I double checked they did)-Did not initially prepare protective coverings (養生) for elevators/common areas-Building management had to intervene multiple times during the moveSummaryThey are a good option if you want a reasonably priced, English-speaking team and your building has flexible requirements. However, for buildings with strict rules (common in Japan), you may run into issues. In my case, I had to actively manage key steps like registration, protection setup, and coordination with the building. If you’re willing to take a hands-on role and give clear direction, the move can go smoothly. If you expect the movers to handle all logistics independently, this may not be the best fit.
The service was extremely good and people were kind and generous. I'll definitely recommend their service.

Wonderful experience with very reasonable price. What is more important: not only the staff is competent and profession on what the inquiries and demands are but they try to acommodate any extra needs you might have. The cherry on top is that they were willing to work even later hours to satisfy all the pledges and requirements that were previously agreed.Extra: Perfect English communication, which normally is a burden in Tokyo, facilitated the whole process and made it seem very smooth. For such a service, I would recommend it to anyone!
