Hidden in an alleyway, this restaurant had lovely service and small Japanese dishes. We enjoyed several menu items and shared. Our favourites included hot udon and soba, mackerel, tamagoyaki, and karaage. The plum wine and hot sake were delicious. Although there was little English, the staff made every effort to make us comfortable and take our order. They brought us éclairs to finish the meal, which were the perfect light sweet treat - the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. A fun family dining experience in Nagano!
Beautiful service and a wonderful staff ready to help. No English menus but the food and the elegance of the place was wonderful. A group of six Canadians with no Japanese language experience were able to enjoy a lovely meal in together. Bring a bit of google translate along and you’ll be ready for a lovely night. I recommend the octopus - an interesting uniquely Japanese experience

Fried chicken, mackerel, and radish salad need to be ordered from an untranslated Japanese menu. The service staff are welcoming, and are grateful for you spending the evening with them. We received complimentary appetizers, and desserts from the chef. Remove your shoes in this quiet, respectful ambience.
