Small but very nice japanese restaurant little a side from the main street. Ebi no tempura was really awesome!
I've been to this restaurant by myself without speaking Japanese.I've eaten some of the best sashimi and I've never been treated so well by the owners, they're amazing.Totally recommend, I'll come back for sureLovely.
Mikiya was my favorite part of staying in Ryogoku. The owners and fellow guests were so kind and with only a little Japanese I felt like I had been welcomed into their community.

オムライス美味しかったです。品揃えも豊富で、刺身も新鮮でした。皆さんにもお勧めします。
カウンターのみのレイアウトだが、仲のよい夫妻が接客をしてくれる。魚料理を食べたいときはこの店がおすすめ。ボトルキープ有り。昼はおにぎりランチをやってます。落ち着いて飲めるため、つい通ってしまいます。
おにぎり3ケ、みそ汁、小鉢のおにぎりランチが600円です。

We had the most incredible experience here on our recent trip to Tokyo. Mikiya is run by such a lovely couple who made us feel like we were welcomed into their home. They were so warm and friendly despite the language barrier, so much so that our 3 year old son who was missing home even wanted to go back to see them another night and gave them both a cuddle.The food was also excellent, in particular the sashimi was just so fresh and delicious. The tori no karaage was some of the best I've had.If we get back to Tokyo I really hope this Izakaya is still here and it's the first place I would come back to have dinner!
