Since moving to Japan, one of my biggest concerns was my son Dhyan's education. At 4 years old, he had to transition in the middle of LKG from India to Japan, a completely new environment where he was unfamiliar with the language and culture. Naturally, I was worried about how he would adjust.A friend recommended Koari Kindergarten, and enrolling Dhyan there turned out to be a fantastic decision. From the moment we arrived, the principal and staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warm smiles and positive attitude created a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, not just for Dhyan but for us as parents too. On his first day, Dhyan immediately felt at ease, thanks in large part to his teacher, Mio-sensei, who was exceptionally kind and supportive. Her friendly approach helped him quickly adjust to his new friends and surroundings.One thing that really stood out to me is that despite the language barrier, the teachers ensured Dhyan felt included and supported. Koari Kindergarten's teachers are highly experienced and always engage with the children through play and interactive activities. They also maintain excellent communication with parents, ensuring we're involved and informed about our children's progress. Even with our own challenges in Japanese, the teachers were patient and gave us ample time to communicate, often going above and beyond to translate and make sure we understood each other.After his first year, Dhyan transitioned to Hina-sensei's class, where he continued to receive outstanding support. Both Mio-sensei and Hina-sensei helped him embrace the Japanese education system, ensuring the language barrier did not hinder his growth or experience. Dhyan even adapted to eating Japanese food, thanks to the gentle encouragement of the teachers.Koari Kindergarten also boasts a large playground where the teachers actively participate in games and activities, fostering a playful yet disciplined environment. In addition to the in-school curriculum and extracurricular activities, they organize outdoor events that include parents, which truly builds a sense of community.Overall, we are incredibly happy with Dhyan's experience at Koari Kindergarten. It has been a nurturing and welcoming environment where he has thrived. I highly recommend this kindergarten to any parents, especially those moving from abroad, as the teachers and staff are truly exceptional.
