Knowledgeable nice staff and super welcome and warming. I learnt about the history and got to play the drums I’ve always wanted to with a great teacher who was energetic and very passionate and talented. （原文）This place is awesome. Simply awesome. First of all the staff is super friendly and accommodating. While we were in Osaka we scheduled a private class for the same day and they arranged everything to make it happen. I don’t speak a word of Japanese but one of their employees, Peter, acted as a translator. Peter is the man. He provided us with a deep history lesson of Taiko drums; from how they’re made to their effects on modern medicine u0026 science. He knows his stuff and clearly has a passion for the art of taiko.The studio is fairly easy to find if you have the exact address. It’s right below the train tracks of the Hankyu line - it’s very close to one of the stops. Another reason why Peter is great is that he met us at the station and walked us to the studio. He also walked us out and talked to the individual behind the ticket counter to make sure we got on the right track back to our hotel.The studio itself is very clean and well-kept. They have plenty of drums that are in great shape. The instructor himself has been practicing for 25 years and is a great teacher. Our class was an hour long and we were enthralled for every minute of it. Even though we only paid for a class we were given a free demonstration from the instructor and again, it was fantastic. I can honestly go on to continue praising this place but you have to experience it for yourself. I can’t recommend this place enough.

It was so much fun and we learned a lot!
5000 yen for 1 hour and it was worth every yen! I had a fantastic teacher kaede who showed me the songs from a festival held in her home town near Kobe every year. It was really fun to be able to hit the taiko hard. This is also a great cardio workout. This was the highlight of my two weeks in Japan. I would recommend this taiko school to everyone!

My Japanese is fairly rudimentary, but Taiko Lab provided a very friendly staff member to translate. They gave me a bit of history to place Taiko in context and then dove into technique, exercised, and songs. (It was quite a workout!)
