Cash only. Had to wait 45 min after our dinner was over so the owner could drive us to an ATM. Not a great way to end an otherwise nice dinner. I understand that Japan is generally a cash-only country. But if you are going to charge almost $150 USD for dinner you really need to have a credit card machine.
Cute husband-wife restaurant serving quality food. Also recommend the white wine be cream salmon dish in addition to the Ratatouille sautéed vegetables and scrumptious banana chocolate cake!So glad we came here!🥰

（原文）The best way to describe Hummingbird is that it is a tourist trap you don’t mind getting trapped in. With only 6-8 tables, this small restaurant run by a lovely husband and wife team exudes warmth and hospitality. The food is tasty despite being predictable and perhaps marked up heavily for the “gaijin” market (mains u003e¥2000). Its worth going once for a quiet French home cooked meal that has heavy japanese flavours.
日本で最高のトマト、バジル、モッツァレラチーズを食べるとは思ってもみませんでした！ハミングバードでは、ホワイトクリームソースのサーモン、和風ミートローフ、和風リゾットなど、すべての料理が同じように私たちを驚かせました。

（原文）ever thought I would have my best tomato, basil and mozzarella in Japan! Every dish surprised us in just that same way at Hummingbird, including the salmon in white cream sauce, Japanese style meatloaf and Japanese style risotto. Simply delicious. Authentic, local, quaint and family-run affair - the story is inside the restaurant, not the exterior. :-) Reservations required, and worth the effort.

（原文）Simply delightful. With limited Japanese speakers in our party we were able to navigate food allergies and enjoyed a quaint and assorted menu. Shared family style and every dish ordered became a new favorite; sushi, noodles, chef's choice salad, wygu... Service was very personable and caring, as long as you aren't rushed and book in advance, you should enjoy.
