A superb gastronomic experience in unexpected environs! Wandered in off the quiet street to master chef’s izakaya he started after years of working in kitchens in Osaka and Kanazawa. In addition to his love of bonsai, he makes incredible agadashi tofu, miso/leek/yuzu umami bombs, grilled shrimp and yakitori, along with “The Legend yakisoba”. I suspect there are many other hidden gems. The capable and English fluent Nozomi, translated his menu and shared stories of master, cooking for many over the years. Delightful!
