Great location for Kumano Kodo. The host is a cool person. I recommend it.
Amazing little homestay in traditional comfy house. The owner was very friendly and helpful and gave us good tips for dinner. Very good price for perfect location in town. Big thumps up.

I would not recommend this guest house to travelers for more than one night. It was the loudest hostel I have ever stayed in. There is a bar directly across the street, and the house construction is very thin. The shower and bathroom facilities were very unclean (black mold, hair, dirt). The owner sleeps in the living room, under the kitchen table, and snores very loudly. I enjoyed the Buddha themed decorations but I can't recommend this as place to stay at.
I stayed one night here and one night at the Tentsuku guesthouse before and after my hike along the Kumano Kodo. I recommend to stay at the Buddha guesthouse which is cheaper, more quiet and has way more charm than the other one. And it's only 5 mins walking away from the station .

The owner is a really good guy that will help with everything. I left my bag going on the Kumano Kodo and so did my friend. What a wonderful place.
