去年 羽鳥慎一モーニングショーでやっていました。
テレビ朝日アナウンサーの宇賀なつみさんが佐助を訪ねていた所です。
私もちょっと佐助の前通って行きました。
江戶時代流傳的傳統工法，第五代法國人接班。
ハサミ鍛冶、匠の名工、150年前から５代目の鋏鍛冶の職人。
捻りが加えてあって切れ味すごいですね。

If you want a true knife shopping experience, look no further. Directly from the master and his experienced hands to yours.Very quiet and non touristy area, a 1 min walk from the train stop. After ringing the door bell, we were greeted by the craftsman’s son who speaks a little bit of English. After entering, he gestured to look around while he left to make us two cups of matcha tea which was perfect the cold winter evening.After asking us where we learned of Sasuke, he inquired to whether we where interested in knives or scissors. For us it was knives, so he quickly brought us a bell pepper and provided us with a range of his father’s work. After surgically slicing the pepper, we cut some paper with a pair of scissors and hedgers (the blades don’t even feel like they touch which is remarkable as they slice effortlessly). We also got a tour of the workshop and watched as Yasuhiro Hirakawa crafted a knife’s handle tang.After being showed around the shop’s areas and also knifes and scissors in different stages of creation, we returned to the gallery where we decided on what to buy. It was a great, personalized experience far exceeding the other cookie cutter knife shopping experiences in Japan.Knives start at around $225 usd for a petty size and scissors around $1200 usd. (Pending exchange) He accepts credit cards including Amex.I highly recommend checking out this unique historical shop for beautifully crafted items made in the traditional way.
