This was my favorite part of my trip! You get to learn about samurai history and then watch an awesome demonstration inside a historic home. After getting dressed up they give some safety lessons and guide you through swinging a katana. Then you actually get to wield a real katana and cut through tatami mats!Very cool experience and everyone there was very helpful and kind.I was worried about sizing but they had stuff that fit me.
An amazing experience with the whole family - kids ranging from the 12-16 years and adults. The whole experience was mesmerizing and super fun. It takes place in the 250 year old house of an actual samurai. Apart from the actual wielding there is a beautiful demonstration and a meditation at the end. One of the highlights of our whole Japan trip. Don’t miss it!

（原文）Great experience! Not only do you get to use a real katana which was a surreal experience in itself you get a demonstration, some history and meditation to bring you back down to earth all in an old samurai house! 100% recommended! I'd do it all over again. We were a group of 6 adults and everyone had a blast! Lovely you don't have to worry about taking photos as they have photographers there taking photos for you! I've not uploaded any of me cutting through the bamboo as my power face is horrifying! lol. Truly incredible experience.
