Must visit if in Takayama...
Best experience ever and very good matcha and cake! We played the instruments and got free origami as a present. The workers are the nicest
This place is a must if you want to experience a unique and real experience in Japan! It was raining a lot and we just wanted a coffee.. we didn’t know what to expect when we entered this place..Mamiyo is a real Geisha and she will spend all her time to take you through her traditions, instruments, music, origami and I even got a Geisha hairstyle.Mamiyo, thanks for giving us such a lovely time and for showing us a bit of your beautiful culture ❤️
Must visit if in Takayama! One of our best experiences in Japan. Came for a coffee but left with a class in Origami, Geisha music and even a drawing of us.Thanks a lot for an amazing experience, Mamiyo (FYI she is a real Geisha)!
Visiting Mamiyo’s place/coffee shop/home was one of our most magical experiences in Japan! We wandered in because it was open later than most other shops in the city. We were greeted by Mamiyo, served delicious ceremonial matcha + cake, and SO much more. We had the pleasure of hanging out with Mamiyo for hours. She taught us origami \u0026 to play traditional Japanese music. She then treated us to a performance as well as drew our portraits and gifted us an early wedding gift! Oh! And she did my hair \u0026 I’ve never felt more beautiful. Thank you Mamiyo. We will never forget this experience!

We stumbled upon this cafe in one of our explorations of Takayama.Mamiyo sama and her geishas opened their home to us, engaged with us and showed us beautiful bits of the traditions they foster.Mamiyo sama made a long kept dream come true, without being asked, and for that I will always be thankful. The cakes were simple and delicious but it's the people that really stole our hearts.Thank you again! ❤️
