The host Octavio was very kind, knowledgeable and helpful throughout our entire stay- giving us tips on where to go, teaching us some Japanese phrases and even helping us by calling our next accomodation to confirm our stay. The room was a nice traditional Japanese style - very clean and comfortable. Great location- easy flat 15 minute walk from the station and right near all the main shops and hikes. Would very happily stay here again 😊

Close to shrines and temples, close to the city, with a lovely owner called Octavio (he gives you maps and hints as soon as you leave your baggage in your Room, helping in enjoying the loveley Takayama). The house in nice, clean, comfortable. It's all right. Matané!
We had a very nice stay here. The house is so clean so nice and quiet.The owner Octavio did a fantastic job to keep the house clean and well maintained. He also provided us lots of useful information from where to eat, where to go to which road is closed.Lots of best wishes.
ホストOctavioは本当にクールな人です！経験豊富なチェックイン、高山さん、どんな質問にもお答えします、朝はコーヒー/紅茶のパン、Jem、共用バスルームとトイレがあり、シングルルームの場合でも客室は広いです。
高山は素晴らしい場所です。
（原文）Octavio the host is a really cool person!! Best check in experience, he tells about Takayama, will answer any quastion, there's coffee /tea bread and Jem in the morning, shared bathroom and toilets, the rooms are big even when it's a single room. Takayama is an amazing place.
I had reserved a room at Takayama Ninja House, only to have to cancel on the day of the reservation as I was unable to make it due to typhoon 21. The owner was very understanding, initially making sure to keep the room for us even if we arrived in the evening. Eventually when we had to cancel and explain our situation, the owner nullified the cancellation fee, noting there was nothing we can do about the natural disaster. We were very grateful for this especially on such a stressful and difficult day. We definitely plan to stay at Takayama Ninja House next time we visit Japan!

A nice little guest house with traditional Japanese rooms. The manager is really nice and very helpful.
Helpful and welcoming host, nice Ryokan rooms. Shared shower and toilett. 15 minute walk from main station. You may ask the host to give you a ride.
Real ninja house with true ninja-host. Clean, superb rooms, great atmosphere. Thumbs up and big recommend!

Amazing stay. Host of the place was so amazing and friendly person. Gave us great tips and was so helpful.The house and the room was also very beautiful traditional Japanese style.Because Takayama is so small place and everything is around it was easy short walk to old town and also the beautiful temple walk.Loved itJoni u0026 Jess
