Early morning rise in Osaka. Thinking about a run around Osaka Castle in the morning before heading to Tokyo. Such a crisp beautiful morning. A little chilly, but sunny. Perfectly delightful.Osaka Castle’s grand moat that surrounds the castle ground. The cityscape lies in the background. The castle is one of Japan’s most famous landmark and its central role in the reunification of all of Japan into a single empire. It’s a fair walk from the park boundary into the central castle grounds.Past large moats and stone walls is the Osaka Castle Tower. Only managed to glimpse the tower from afar. The Osaka Castle Tower is a symbol of the Takygawa-era during which the tower is built. The main central tower is 55 meters high and houses a museum. There’s a viewing platform here where you can view Osaka’s cityscape. The castle has been destroyed, rebuilt and restored over the centuries over multiple eras of Japanese rule.
There was an area on the side where you can climb up the wall to get a nice view of the castle or the park.
